Meet A Blessed Beast Named Jericho
(NASHVILLE, TENN. — Apr. 17, 2020) RFD-TV’s original series, FarmHer, highlights women in agriculture on the big screen. This week, host Marji Guyler-Alaniz heads up north to meet Minnesota’s largest registered yak herd and the star of the show: Jericho.
“I just noticed his horns. I thought, you know, they’re just so abnormal and glorious so I contacted the Guiness World Record people,” said Melodee Smith of Clear Spring Farm.
Jericho caught the judge’s eye and even had a category created for him. Meet this record breaking beast and the rest of the herd. Plus, find out what these unique animals are raised for, complete with a yak burger taste test.
Watch FarmHer, Friday, April 24 at 9:30 p.m. eastern on RFD-TV.
FarmHer was founded in 2013 to change the image of agriculture, depicting women taking an active role in the industry through photographs and by sharing their stories. It quickly became clear that women in agriculture not only appreciated FarmHer, but they needed it. And they asked for more. Today, FarmHer has grown into much more than just a gallery of images; it is changing the way people perceive a farmer. Through an online community, events, and a weekly TV show, FarmHer continues to update the image of agriculture to include women. Women are rising to the forefront of agriculture and FarmHer is excited to be a driving force behind this effort. Learn more at FarmHer.com.
